$25,000 PCHA/Equine Insurance Children's/Adult Hunter Championships and Jumper Championships added to the 2012 Del Mar Fall Festival

The Del Mar Fall Festival Horse Show announces the $25,000 PCHA/Equine Insurance Child/Adult Amateur Hunter Championships will take place October 17-21, 2012. This event is open to the top 60 Child/Adult Amateur horse/ rider combinations, including ties, from the PCHA Children’s/Adult Amateur Hunter Standings as of Monday October 15, 2012. The Qualifying period for this class is January 1, 2025 through October 15, 2012.
All horses, riders and owners must be current PCHA members. Classes to count at each show include the Children’s Hunters, Adult Amateur Hunters, and the Child/Adult Amateur Hunter Classics. Each horse/rider combination must have competed in one other class during the Fall Festival I.
The top 60 to compete in a first round on Friday, October 19, and the top 25 horse/ rider combinations to compete for the championship on Saturday, October 20. Order of go in reverse order of qualifying.
The $25,000 PCHA/Equine Insurance Children's/Adult Amateur Jumper Finals** will take place the following week October 24-28, 2012. The finals are open to the top 40 Child/Adult Amateur horse/rider combinations, including ties, from the PCHA Children’s/ Adult Amateur Jumper Standings as of Friday October 26, 2012. The Qualifying period for this class is January 1, 2025 through October 26, 2012.
All horses, riders and owners must be current PCHA members. Classes to count at each show include the Children’s Jumpers, Adult Amateur Jumpers, and the Child/Adult Amateur Jumper Classics. Winners of the Children’s and Adult Jumper classes on Thursday and Friday of Fall Festival II will also qualify for the Championship. Each horse/ rider combination must have competed in one other class during the Fall Festival II.
Additional invitations will be extended to the Champions and Reserves in Children’s and Adult Jumpers at the Del Mar Fall Festival 1.
Any horse and rider combination that competes over 1.20m during the 2012 show season will become ineligible to compete in the championship. Any rider that competes above 1.30m during the 2012 show season will not be eligible for the Championship. Fences 1.10m.
